Hon'ble Dr Deshpande's visit

Dr saab was not happy with the current status of "Arhar" crop as in the field reason being
  • There was too much of weeds.
  • Land was not mulched as a result there was oxygen deficiency in the roots of crops.
  • Land was not properly levelled as such in some places water logging was present.
  • Viral infection in one of the crops was getting spread to other crop of vegetables.
  • Tomato was not replaced inpite of plants being available in "tharha"
As per Dr saab in first flowering stage 50% production is prepared, than 20%, 20% and finally in the end 10% which is like BONUS. But here we have lost 50% production as plant growth is not good.
Beans are not creepers therefore they upon hanging will shot less branches henceforth less quantity. So they have to be laid down.

Arhar ideal production is 8 quintal per hectare.

Enjoying the first rain of 2012

On 14 june  enjoyed the first rain of 2012.Filled with hopes and cheers like kisan.
 BUT
for the first time felt fear like rural kisan - the uncertainity and unpredectibility of monsoon,as my maize crops were lying on the field.
